What is a Demand Survey
AFOWO regularly undertakes and conducts Demand Surveys to assess and ascertain viability of any proposed housing project or scheme. The Demand Surveys are primarily conducted to evaluate the feasibility of launching a new project in terms of availability of land or any upcoming project of a builder or third party.
The basic purpose of Demand Surveys conducted by AFOWO is to look after, as well as to safeguard the interests of its members, ensuring that the members get good options for housing, with clear legal status, that too at genuine prices.
Moreover, through the Demand Survey the number of personnel desirous of acquiring a dwelling unit at the proposed location is also assessed, which is an important requisite for the viability of the proposed scheme. In fact Demand Survey is the first step prior to launching a new housing project or scheme. Due care and vision are exercised in addressing all parameters desirable for a housing project, including its location, proximity to city and essential facilities like markets, schools, hospitals as well as other public conveniences. Development in the vicinity of the proposed scheme is also taken into consideration, as it is a major factor towards future appreciation in value of the project.
If adequate demand emerges after completion of a Demand Survey, and the project or scheme is launched, the participants of the Demand Survey get priority in booking of the dwelling units over the persons applying after the closure of Demand Survey of that scheme. The participants are offered dwelling units on First Come First Served basis.
The Demand Survey for any location is notified on the website of AFOWO, and is also communicated to its members by mail and other mediums. Persons desirous of participating in Demand Survey are required to fill the prescribed application form along with a refundable commitment fee. Other details about the procedure, withdrawal, terms and conditions etc have been provided in the following pages.
