Eligibility for Participation


The facility of availing housing units from AFOWO is primarily meant for serving / retired defence, as well as para military personnel and their families. The following categories of armed forces personnel can apply for participating in the Demand Surveys conducted by AFOWO from time to time :

1. Serving and Re-employed personnel of Armed Forces
2. Retired Armed Forces Officials
3.Spouse of deceased Armed Forces Officials
4.Blood relations/Dependants of Armed Forces Officials viz. parents, spouse, children, grand children, including adopted children, brother(s), and sister(s) including their spouses

Wherein the term Armed Forces means the Army, Navy, or Air Force as well as para-military forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF etc.

Certain categories of central and state government employees are also eligible for schemes of AFOWO

Demand Survey

If upon meeting the requirements of the above categories of applicants in any housing scheme or project of the Society, and in the event of surplus units left, where it becomes necessary for effective attainment of the aims and objectives of the Society to allot those surplus units, other categories, as per the priority given in the Bye Laws of AFOWO, can apply for participation in the Demand Survey.
